Fractional Content Lead

Your content needs a leader, not just more writers

When no one owns the strategy, every piece becomes a guess. A fractional content lead gives your team the direction, clarity, and accountability to turn content into pipeline.

Strategy

Your content finally has a direction

Without someone owning the strategy, content becomes reactive. A request comes in, something gets written, it goes live, and nobody's sure if it moved anything forward.I build the strategy and make the calls on what gets made, why, and when. Everything connects back to what your business is actually trying to achieve.

Got questions?

Common questions about fractional content support

What does a fractional content lead actually do day to day?

I sit inside your team and run the content function. That means setting strategy, writing and briefing content, managing timelines, reviewing output, tracking performance, and making sure everything connects back to business goals.

Do you write the content or just direct it?

Both, depending on what makes sense. I write where senior expertise makes a real difference. For higher volume work, I brief and guide your existing writers or help you find the right people.

How involved do I need to be?

You'll be involved at the start while we get aligned on strategy and priorities. After that, the whole point is that you don't need to manage it. That's what you're hiring me for.

How long does a typical engagement run?

Most clients start with a three or six month commitment so there's enough time to build foundations and see real results. Many continue well beyond that.

Can you work with our existing freelancers or agency?

Yes. I lead the function so they can do better work with clearer briefs and stronger direction. Most freelancers produce better output when there's a senior content lead guiding them.

What if we need more support during a busy period?

That's what the flexibility is for. You can roll up to 25% of hours forward in months where you need more capacity, like a product launch or campaign push. Anything more we can chat about and quote separately.
