Making compliance feel urgent, not abstract

Haast is a RegTech platform that helps regulated businesses manage marketing compliance at scale. They needed a report that would position them at the centre of a conversation their market was already having: how do marketing teams produce more content, faster, without letting compliance slip?

The topic was strong. The challenge was making a compliance report feel like something people would actually want to read. Compliance content tends to either read like a legal brief or like a vendor pitch dressed up as thought leadership. Haast wanted something different: genuinely useful, grounded in real experience, and sharp enough to hold a senior marketing leader's attention.

Turning executive insight into a cohesive narrative

Haast had already conducted interviews with three senior marketing leaders from DHL, Optus, and their own team. My job was to take those conversations and build a report around them that told a clear story: the speed of AI-powered content production has outpaced the governance infrastructure underneath it, and the gap between those two things is where the risk lives.

The report needed to work on multiple levels. For marketing leaders, it had to validate what they were already feeling and give them language to articulate the problem internally. For compliance teams, it had to frame the issue in terms of real commercial risk. And for Haast, it needed to position their platform as the logical solution without reading like a sales pitch.

I structured the piece around five sections that moved from problem to solution: the pressure to scale output, the compliance risks that come with it, the limits of manual review, how to build governance systems that keep pace, and where AI-powered marketing is heading. Each section was anchored by direct quotes from the interviewees, woven in to support the argument rather than just sitting as standalone pullquotes.

A report that earns its place in the conversation

The finished report reads as a genuine industry resource rather than a product brochure. It gives Haast a credible, shareable asset that opens doors with exactly the kind of senior marketing and compliance leaders they want to be talking to.

For a RegTech company selling into regulated industries, that credibility matters. The report does what good thought leadership should: it makes the reader feel understood, gives them something they can use, and positions Haast as the company that gets it.
