LinkedIn guilt.
That feeling when you haven’t posted in weeks — and now every time you log in, you get a friendly nudge from the algorithm (“Hey, Alice. Your network hasn’t heard from you in a while…”).
It’s not that you don’t have anything to say.
You’ve got ideas. Opinions. Hot takes.
But when it comes time to actually write a post? You’ve got back-to-back meetings, a product launch on fire, and a brain full of to-do lists.
So you close the tab.
And promise yourself you’ll post next week.
(Maybe.)
Let’s make it easier.
You don’t need a full content strategy.
You just need a few go-to prompts that work — even when your brain’s running on fumes.
The real problem isn’t time — it’s clarity
You’ve got things to say. You say them all the time — in meetings, on calls, over coffee. You’re not short on insight.
You’re short on headspace.
The problem isn’t that you can’t write a LinkedIn post.
It’s that by the time you get 10 quiet minutes, you don’t know where to start.
So you overthink it.
You wonder if it’s too boring, too basic, too opinionated, too vague.
And suddenly the 10 minutes are gone — and so is the motivation.
Here’s the good news:
You don’t need to write a thinkpiece or share your life story to post something valuable.
Sometimes all you need is a nudge in the right direction.
And if even that feels like too much? That’s literally what ghostwriters like me are here for.
What to post when you don’t have time to think
These aren’t hacks.
They’re the kind of posts that make people stop scrolling, nod in agreement, and think, “Yep, I’ve been there.”
Pick one. Keep it scrappy. Post it.
✅ 1. Something you said in a meeting
You know that moment when you drop a truth bomb in a meeting and someone says, “That’s so true”?
That’s a LinkedIn post.
You’ve already done the hard part — now you just need to write it down.
✅ 2. A question you keep getting asked
If clients, team members, or investors are asking you something over and over — there’s your next post.
Think of it as scaling your brain.
✅ 3. A “before and after” moment
What’s something you or your business used to do — that you’ve now totally changed your mind about?
Share the evolution. People love a mindset shift.
✅ 4. A quick story that taught you something
Doesn’t have to be profound.
Something that made you pause, rethink, or laugh at how you handled it — that's enough.
✅ 5. A belief that goes against the grain
You don’t need to be controversial. Just say something honest that others are too polite (or cautious) to post.
Think: “I don’t use a brand deck.” or “Not every founder needs a podcast.”
✅ 6. A real win (not a humblebrag)
Skip the polished press release tone.
Just share what went well — and why it matters. Bonus points if you include what didn’t go perfectly.
A fast way to get it out of your head
The best ideas never show up when you’ve blocked out time to “do LinkedIn.”
They show up mid-walk. Mid-shower. Mid-meeting.
So the trick isn’t forcing yourself to sit down and write.
It’s catching the good stuff when it shows up — and getting it out of your head before it disappears.
Here’s how:
- Voice notes.
Talk it out while you’re driving, walking, or doing literally anything else. Then transcribe or send it to someone who can shape it into a post. - Drop it into Notes or Slack.
Got a “shower thought” moment? Open your phone and dump it in a running list. Don’t worry about polish — future-you will thank you. - Send it to your ghostwriter.
(Hi. 👋)
My clients send me voice notes, scribbled thoughts, half-written drafts — and I turn them into sharp, readable content that sounds like them, not a marketing team.
Done beats perfect.
And momentum beats waiting for the perfect thought.
You don’t need more ideas. You need less friction.
If you’re not posting, it’s not because you don’t have anything to say.
It’s because you’re busy — and turning ideas into posts takes headspace you don’t have.
But visibility matters.
Your voice matters.
And showing up online doesn’t have to mean adding more to your plate.
That’s where I come in.
If you’ve got a phone full of voice notes, a head full of half-drafts, or just a gut feeling that you should be posting more — I can help.
